What is the process for obtaining a medication refill?
If you are taking a chronic medication and have been seen in our office within the last six months, you may request a refill by using this form, emailing us, or calling the office.

If you have not been seen within the last six months, or if you are requesting a new or acute medication, you may need an appointment before the medication can be prescribed.

Please note: All refill requests are subject to provider review and approval.

How long does a medication request take? 
Our medication department processes requests throughout the day. Most routine requests are addressed within 24 hours, although additional time may be needed if provider review or authorization is required.

This timeframe does not apply to medications that require prior authorization from your insurance company, which may take significantly longer.

What is a prior authorization? 
Some insurance plans require prior authorization before they will cover certain medications, particularly higher-cost or brand-name medications. Your provider will review the request and submit the required documentation to your insurance plan.

Please allow approximately 7 to 14 business days for the insurance company to make a decision.
